Let the record state...
that it is midsummer! When I walked home from work at 11.25pm, there was still a glimmer of dusk in the sky AND it starts to get light before 3am.
Call me simple, but that gets me really excited.

Popped into the Liberty sale this afternoon before going to work. I was extremely sensible, and rather than piling the shades that I liked into my basked - I did this last time, which is why I still have some Rowan river tape knocking around... I ended up with some cream Rowan chunky, which I am going to combine with my Colinette goodies and chunky yarn to make a big poncho; some navy Rowan to make His Majesty's sweater and some Jaeger silk - because I want to combine it with some of the balls of cotton that I have to make a cardigan or sweater.
And that was it!
This doesn't mean that I won't be on the prowl for some Addi Turbos (7 and 8) and some Koigu when I go to the States (he he!)

It's been a long time.....

Been trying to finish off my shawl in time for the holidays. It's called the Cavendish and I've made it from the Simply Noro book. I'm about 5/8 of the way through. I am going to carry on for another two weeks, then cast off, regardless of how long it becomes by then. Otherwise I'll be able to use it as a stair carpet.
The Liberty yarn sale starts next Wednesday - I'll be there first thing on Thursday morning! I have decided to knit Rob's sweater on holiday, so I hope there is some suitable navy wool there.
I have finished the purple cushion cover. I just have to stuff it now. I have finally finished my SC cardigan. I decided against lining the seams with yellow, because it looked stupid (quelle surprise) but i have used a couple of holographic buttons.
