It was the first proper day of spring yesterday, with a decent temperature of 21 degrees. Everyone who had a convertible had the roof off, the tough Aussies were walking around barefoot (they've been in sandals and shorts since February) and the Birkenstock shop in Covent Garden was packed out. You just had to grab a pair of shoes that you liked and collar a passing assistant. But I did get a nice pair of simple black one-strap Birkies. The rest of them look too much like Stokie dyke sandals for my liking.
Not much knitting this weekend. I just did enough to get past the increase stage of the Sitcom Chic body. Now it's just stockinette stitch until we reach the 14.5 inch point.
Next big project is Rob's sweater. We have picked the colour - so now it's time to get the yarn. He is being rather fussy. He wants light navy, 'oily' thick wool. Doesn't ask for much, does he? ;-)
